The Lezyne KTV Pro Alert Rear StVZO is one of the new lamps with an Alert function. The lamp has a wide-angle lens that offers up to 270° visibility. The KTV Pro Alert StVZO delivers up to 11 lumens, making it suitable for cycling in Germany. Thanks to the built-in USB stick, you can easily charge your lamp and you will again have a battery life of 6.5 hours. The KTV Pro Alert StVZO has a strong, lightweight and durable housing and has an IPX7 water resistance. This means that the lamp is waterproof.
The diagram below shows how many lumens the lamp offers in a certain position and how long the LED can last. One lumen is equivalent to the light of a candle.

Lezyne's latest lamps incorporate the latest Alert technology. If the cyclist slows down, the lamp will illuminate like a brake light. Then the lamp will emit a clear flash pattern as soon as the cyclist has stopped to warn riders or vehicles. The light will revert to the previous output modes once the rider continues their ride.
In Germany there is a special legislation for bicycle lighting. This means that bicycle lighting must meet different requirements than bicycle lighting in the Netherlands or other EU countries. StVZO lamps are not allowed to blink and these lamps have greater side visibility.
